Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Works to Caverns, Hong Kong

This project relocates the sewage treatment works to caverns, releasing 28 hectares of land for other uses

Tunnels, road access ways, and the caverns are built with major infrastructure and utilities diversions, geotechnical works and environmental mitigation measures throughout.

The innovative techniques have been driven by a collaborative approach crucial in particular during the COVID-19 pandemic.
