President for 2008/09

Mr Adesh Jain (Representative of India) was elected President for 2008/09 at the 8th Annual ICPMA AGM, held in Dublin on May 15th 2008. Mr Jan Zemanek (Representative of Czech Republic) was elected Senior Vice President. Dr Louis Gunnigan (Representative of Republic of Ireland) was elected Vice President.
ICPMA Awards 2008
The 2007/08 President of ICPMA, Bill Van Wagenen presented the 2008 ICPMA Awards were honoured at a ceremony in CIOB Headquarters at Ascot, UK on May 14th 2008.
The winners were as follows:
1st Place was awarded to Dongping Fang MCIOB, Martin Loosemore FCIOB, Difei Zhu and Patrick Zou MCIOB for their paper entitled ‘Research, Development of an Enterprise Risk Management for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Venue Construction Projects and Programs’
2nd Place was awarded to Richard Lee Rye for his paper entitled ‘Risk Based Project Management for Capital Construction: Introducing RiskBasePM as a process framework’

The Awards ceremony was run in conjunction with the presentation of the CIOB 2007/2008 International Innovation and Research Awards.
